LOCAL people spending Easter in Weston Hospicecare's In-patient Unit were thrilled to receive their first Easter eggs this week – a gift from the local Asda store.
Hospice users tuck into some tasty treats.
Community Life Champion, Rachel Mansfield who is also a hospice volunteer, popped in on her day off to play Easter Bunny and deliver the eggs.
She said: "It's an absolute pleasure to be able to bring Easter to the hospice.
"We like to be able to support the community in any way we can whether that be through collections in store for local charities, or smaller more personal gestures like this."
Vera McNicholas (pictured), 74, from Balmoral Way in Weston-super-Mare was amongst those surprised by the gift from the supermarket. She is saving the treat until Easter Sunday.
