Lydney bring in new players to take on Dings

Dings Crusaders face local opposition for a second week, having lost 35-35 at home to Hartpury College, when they cross the Severn to take on a struggling Lydney side at Regentsholme tomorrow.

Head coach Duncan Bell has signed Danny Trigg, who played more than 200 games for Cinderford, and he starts at fly-half.

Josh Hannam returns to the Severnsiders' side on the wing after a spell at Cinderford.

Bell's other recruits are Mike Dodge, who played his rugby in France last season, and starts at outside centre and tighthead prop Ollie Day from Worcester Students.

Dings are again without fly-half Mitch Burton so Harvey Skelton comes in to wear the No.10 shirt with Mark Woodrow reverting to full-back.

Hartpury College make four changes for the visit of fifth placed Shelford. Skipper Chris Fortey returns at hooker, Sean Marsden at full-back, Steff Reynolds on the right wing and Will Graulich returning to the second row alonside Sam Raven.

Taunton Titans make the long journey to Kent to face a Canterbury side who are just one point above the visitors.

Gary Kingdom reverts to full back in place of Mike Pope (groin) with Tony Yapp returning to the starting line-up at fly-half. Taff Howells returns at tighthead prop in place of Dan Morgan (back) while Sam Richardson replaces Ted Lee (back) in the back row.

Clifton travel to West Sussex to face a Worthing Raiders side who have won their last two games including sending league leaders Henley Hawks to their only defeat this season.

The visitors will give a debut to former Clifton College's loosehead prop Giuseppe Varano with Sam Evans coming in at hooker. Matt Williams moves to full-back, Sam Harrison to the wing while James Golledge and Will Pomphrey return in the centre.

Director of rugby Darren Lloyd has also recruited centre Lewis Beer from National Two rivals Lydney.
