Cinemas have come on a long way since a few years ago – comfortable seating, 3D and HD technology and surround sound volume makes going to the cinema today more exciting than ever. Whether on a first date, going out with friends or treating the family, the cinema has always been a place where you can escape. With new movies being released weekly why not grab a bag of popcorn and get lost in the world of film?
Why is it such a great pastime?
Going to the cinema is has proved such a popular pastime over the years for a number of reasons, not least because it gives us the chance to escape into another world for a couple of hours. Not only this, but the cinema is a great way to entertain kids so you have to, and you can still enjoy the night out as well.
The great thing about the cinema is that there are so many cinema times available for new release, so you will be sure to find a time that fits you. Fancy being the first to watch a film? In many cinemas you can get special advance screenings of certain films before anyone else, so you can feel smug about seeing a popular film before your friends.
So much choice
At the cinema you will never be short of choice or genre. For those of you who love action, the heavily anticipated blockbuster film Dark Knight Rises is now out across the country. If you don’t want to miss out you can enjoy this new movie on its release date but you’ll probably have to pre-book your tickets in advance as it looks like being a sell-out. If you are not quite an action fan, then there are plenty more films to see.
As the school holidays are now upon us, kids can often get restless and bored if they have nothing to do. With booking available now why not treat them and see one of the many new movies for kids. Ice Age 4: Continental Drift is a perfect example, and they may enjoy it even more because it is in 3D, so they can feel as if they are part of the film as well as being entertained. For the women who want to have a girly night at the cinema then there is probably only one suggestion to make – Magic Mike. This is a perfect film for all women wanting to just sit back relax and enjoy the eye candy on display.
Keep it cheap
While going to cinema is fairly cheap, you should always try to make it cheaper – so you can enjoy it even more. Always keep an eye out for deals, especially if you are a student or concession. If you’re not, try and get a sim card which will allow you two for one on cinema tickets. Otherwise, some cinema chains such as Showcase offer money-off deals. When you are planning to go and see new movies always, try and plan ahead by checking cinema times and availability.
