Coffee morning event for charity

RESIDENTS at a Weston-super-Mare care home will be putting the kettle on and inviting people to join them for a cuppa to raise money for charity.
People at the Beach Lawns Care Home are hosting an event on September 28 from 10.30 am to 12.30pm as part of Macmillan Cancer Support's World's Biggest Coffee Morning.
For £1.50 visitors can enjoy a tea or coffee and a slice of homemade cake to help raise vital funds for the charity.
Home manager, Paul White, said: "Everybody knows someone who has been affected by cancer so this is a charity which is extremely close to our hearts.
"Our residents are very sociable so are really excited about welcoming some new faces along to their home to support such a worthwhile cause."
