Crews called to fire at Gordon and Penney solicitors office

A SOLICITORS office in Weston-super-Mare has suffered smoke damage following a late night blaze.
Fire crews from Weston and Kingswood were called to Gordon and Penney solicitors on The Boulevard at 11.25pm on Friday after reports smoke was billowing from the top floor of the three storey building.
Crews had to force their way in through the front door to tackle the blaze wearing breathing apparatus and using high pressure hose reel jets.
The building was empty at the time of the blaze and it is understood the fire was caused by an electrical fault.
Police closed off a section of The Boulevard while crews tackled the blaze, which was contained in one room.
The building needed to be ventilated following the blaze and was heavily smoke logged.
