What was hot and what was not?
The treatment uses Temple Spa products only found in six UK spas plus one in Turks and Caicos. All the products are geared towards serious results, self-pampering and wellbeing and so I was keen to put them to the test. I opted for the Champagne and Truffles facial as it sounded luxurious. With a stressful job and two children I was ready for some me time and I nestled down under the warm towels.
Therapist Kizzy Kendall said she would start with a face down ritual. She applied cooling balm to my feet and asked me where I would like my 10 minute massage. I had no idea this was included in the package so it came as an added bonus and I was delighted. I opted for a back massage, which felt heavenly and within minutes I was relaxed. Next I felt my face fizz, as a mask mixed with champagne to help with collagen and elastin fibre renewal, was applied to my face with a brush. This was followed by a serum on my eyes to help with dark circles.
Next my scalp was massaged and Kizzy continued with a neck and shoulder massage using Temple Spa's rich aromatherapy Repose resting cream with jojoba, hops, eight essential oils and vitamins. It helps prevent premature ageing and is known for its skin firming properties.
The treatment continued with a breakfast smoothie mask applied to my face, along with a gauze and hot paraffin wax strips to help my skin absorb the product.
With my face warming I thought I could not get any more relaxed but I was wrong as Kizzy proceeded to give me a hand and arm massage. After removing the mask Windows of the Soul cream was applied to put the sparkle back into my eye area before the grand finale- Skin Truffle. This luxurious cream sold in Harrods has long term anti-ageing benefits and reduces tired, dull skin. It took five years to perfect and contains silk, diamonds and gold to make the skin instantly radiant.
My skin felt wonderful and according to my friend I looked 'glowing.' Feeling wonderfully relaxed and treated to more than I had ever imagined, I was surprised to learn my facial ended with a glass of champagne and a chocolate truffle. This was the perfect end to a perfect treatment.
Verdict? Fabulous, luxurious and well worth the money.
