WESTON-super-Mare boss Craig Laird is refusing to press the panic button.

The play-off-chasing Seagulls may have lost their last two games 3-0, but the Scot will avoid making wholesale changes for tomorrow's trip to Chelmsford.

A five-match winning run at the start of the year saw Weston climb to sixth in the table, only for back-to-back defeats against Boreham Wood and Bromley to disrupt their progress.

However, Laird, pictured, is keeping faith with a group of players who have surpassed all expectations this campaign .

He said: "There is no need to panic and the last thing we need right now is any kind of kneejerk reaction.

"These players have done fantastically well for me this season and I still believe in them. They deserve the opportunity to go out there and put things right on Saturday.

"We are still in a very good position and we have to remember that. We just have to keep doing those things that have got us to where we are now.

"If things don't always work out for us, I can assure our fans it won't be for the lack of trying."

Laird will select from a full-strength squad at Chelmsford.
