Man Assaulted In Weston-super-Mare Nightclub

Police are appealing for witnesses and information following a nightclub assault in Weston-super-Mare.

The victim was on the dance floor of Vision Night Club in Richmond Street, at 2am on Sunday morning (January 15).

While he was dancing two unknown men have struck him to the face causing him to fall backwards and strike the back of his head on a metal step.

The man was knocked unconscious and required hospital treatment for a number of injuries including a wound that needed stitches.

One man has been arrested and bailed however police would like to speak to two other men.

The first is white, aged about 18 to 20 years of age and around 6ft tall with a slim build.

He had short light coloured hair and wore a blue or a grey denim type shirt.

The second man is white, of a slim build and approximately 5ft 6inches tall.

Officers would like to speak to these men as they may have information that could help.

Anyone who may have been on the dance floor and may have witnessed this incident is asked to come forward and call police on 101.

    Sad to say the above comments echo my own thoughts on what was once our great town. Part of the problem stems from the Three No's ( No Discipline, No Deterrants and No Respect any more).

    fights - stabbings. is this London? or a small populated seaside town compared to London?
    most serious incidents in the towns night life always have the same venues name. are they letting in irresponsible people or irresponsible owners/management?
    weston's night life is not very busy compared to years ago (people are not going out) so why still so many problems & the same place names with trouble?
    its just the norm for weston council & policeto let weston fall to pieces & make it a haven for ex Jeremy Kyle guests. its a nice place for them now as more areas look rough & the people are, as the council & police have not done the job "us" council tax payers have paid for - maintain good standards - ok they will all get very good pensions & move away from weston when they retire as it to rough.
