Man stabs himself at doctors surgery at Weston-super-Mare

A MAN stabbed himself in the chest while in a doctors' surgery in Weston-super-Mare.
Emergency teams were called at 11.15am today to Stafford Place Medical Surgery after reports a man in his 40s had suffered a trauma wound to his chest.
Paramedics and a rapid response crew were on the scene within minutes and the Great Western Air Ambulance – carrying critical care paramedics - was also called.
The Boulevard had to be shut off to allow the helicopter to land.
The man was treated at the scene for a trauma wound to the chest before being taken to the Bristol Royal Infirmary by road ambulance.
The two critical care paramedics accompanied the man in the ambulance.
