Man suffers broken jaw in assault

A MAN was left with a broken jaw after a late night assault in Weston-super-Mare. The assault took place outside Sultans Kebab House in Alexandra Parade at around 12.30am on September 23. The victim, who is in his 20s, was punched in the face and possibly kicked or stamped on, suffering a broken jaw which required surgery. A man in his 20s has been arrested on suspicion of assault and released on police bail pending further inquiries. Police are appealing for anyone who witnessed the incident to contact them on 101.
