There will be two drop-in sessions ahead of the programme launch on Wednesday, April 10, and Monday, April 15, where staff will be on hand to answer any questions families may have about the scheme.
The council has a role in making a difference to the long-term health of children by tackling the serious problem of childhood obesity.
This programme aims to support and encourage families who have children who are above a healthy weight for their age to lead a more healthier and active life.
It will provide a positive and fun experience for families to discuss and help them overcome any personal issues that have been obstacles to them being more healthy.
