Pantomime producers Paul Holman Associates brought a production of Sleeping Beauty to the stage in front of a packed audience last week.
This classic fairy tale has never been performed at The Playhouse Theatre before and producers therefore expect the show to be in demand.
Playhouse Theatre General Manager Peter Undery said "The first show was a high quality production packed with traditional pantomime fun which the audience thoroughly enjoyed.
"Advance sales for the remainder of the season are already high, so audiences are advised to book early to avoid disappointment."
Sleeping Beauty features TV star Lorraine Chase performing as the wicked fairy Carabosse and X factor duo, Same Difference, Sean and Sarah Smith.
Lorraine is known to millions for her four years in Emmerdale as the unpredictable Stephanie Stokes, as well as previously appearing as Dolly Clothespeg in the children's smash-hit series Worzel Gumidge.
Same Difference won over the nation in the fourth season of the UK reality TV show The X Factor, where they reached the final and finished third.
In a role perfectly made for her, Sarah will be waving the wand of sweetness and magic as the lovely Lilac Fairy battling the evil Fairy Carabosse, who has cast a spell on Princess Aurora.
Sean will be a dashing Prince sent to awaken the Princess with a magical kiss, and with his real life handsome hero looks, he's sure to break a few hearts too!
The production also sees the hugely popular return of father and son act, Simmons and Simmons and Terry Gleed, who together stormed the Playhouse with their comedy madness and mayhem in Aladdin last Christmas.
Simmons and Simmons will be returning to direct and appear as the calamitous King and comedy Chamberlain, promising to raise the roof once more with their riotous routines.
Having won the hearts of Weston's young and old and making a popular return as Muddles will be the diminutive energy fuelled Terry Gleed, who delighted as Wishee Washee in Aladdin.
Every pantomime needs a dame and Nurse Katy Cough Drop will be delivering a diva sized performance as she prescribes laughter and comedy for all the family.
Audiences are guaranteed plenty of toe-tapping, hand-clapping, sing-a-long songs, comedy, stunning costumes and scenery straight out of a magical, enchanting land of dreams.
Sleeping Beauty will be at the Playhouse, Weston-super-Mare until 6 January, 2013. Tickets, priced from £13.50 are available on 01934 645 544 or online at www.theplayhouse.co.uk.
