A 42-year-old woman and a 29-year-old man were arrested at the property for drug dealing offences.
PC Samantha Hiney said: "This was a great result and means that these class A drugs will no longer be finding their way onto the streets of Weston.
"This raid also resulted in the arrest of two suspected drug-dealers who will now have to face the courts to answer for their crimes."
Police had suspected that the tenants of the flat were dealing drugs so raided the property in the early hours of the morning.
When officers gained entry to the property they discovered drugs paraphernalia as well as some weaponry but no drugs.
Officers became convinced that the pair had hidden the drugs inside their bodies so arrested them both for possession with intent to supply heroin and took them to Weston General Hospital to be x-ray.
The x-ray identified four packages inside the man which once tested were found to be heroin.
Both suspects have been charged with possession with intent to supply drugs and will be going to court to answer for their crimes.
Chief Superintendent Julian Moss said: "I hope that this sends a message to other would be drug dealers.
"We are watching you and if you decide to sell drugs in Weston we will be relentless in pursuing you and bringing you to justice.
"Dealing drugs doesn't pay.
"What it can earn you is a very hefty prison sentence and a significant fine. Our financial investigation team can also strip drug dealers of any assets that have been obtained using money earned illegally."
