Pupils Invited to Attend 50th Birthday Celebrations of Weston-super-Mare School

A SCHOOL in Weston-super-Mare will celebrate its 50th anniversary in 2012 and is inviting staff and former pupils to join thee celebrations.

Baytree School is urgng everyone who has been associated with the school over the past 50 years to go along on January 20, from 6pm-9pm.

The aim of the event,  at The Campus in Highlands Lane, is to share memories, photos and stories of the school.

Headteacher Fiona Richings said: "Our admissions book shows that the first pupil was admitted to Baytree School in January 1962.

"To celebrate our golden anniversary we would love anyone who has been involved with the school over the last 50 years to join us next month and bring with them any photos, memories and stories they have of the school."

Baytree School is a special needs school for children and young people aged between three and 19 with learning difficulties.

It used to be based in Baytree Road, Weston before moving to The Campus in September 2004.
