A famous seafront is to have a new attraction for the summer season – a 12-metre-high log flume. After four years of having a 40-metre high observation wheel on the seafront at Weston-super-Mare, North Somerset Council has taken the plunge and signed a contract with Event Attractions to bring the attraction to the town. James Rogers, of Event Attractions, said: "This is something I've wanted to do for some time. My hopes are high that this will be really successful and what we'll do is sit down together at the end of the season to see what we can do for next year."
