Sooty to turn on the lights

SOOTY will visit Weston-super-Mare to switch on the town's Christmas lights.
The popular television character, who has appeared on British screens for more than 60 years and whose latest series is filmed at Brean Leisure Park, will carry out the duty on Thursday. Sooty will be joined by the show's current presenter Richard Cadell for a procession from the town's Blakehay Theatre at 5.55pm to the town square to switch on the lights at 6pm.
