Weston-super-Mare Singer Set To Release Single

A SINGER from Weston-super-Mare is set to release his first single later this summer.

Ryan Inglis is set to release single 'Secret' on August 18, from his forthcoming fan-funded album.

In October last year he was awarded $15,000 (£9,000) to record and promote his original material from www.slicethepie.com and has been busy in the world famous Abbey Road studios putting his album together with his band.

The first single is at the mastering stage and a music video is being shot this month.

Ryan has lived in Weston for the past eight years and is currently unsigned and instead is a self managed singer/songwriter/guitarist.

He has been a full time musician for the past four years and aims to break 2,500 digital single sales to achieve a top 40 position in the charts to prove it can be done without the need of profit driven record companies or contractually binding talent shows and instead by supportive fans of his music

Ryan said: "I am absolutely delighted to have been awarded the money and to have the fantastic opportunity of recording an album at the Abbey Road studios, which were made so famous by The Beatles.

"I am determined to get my single into the top 40 without using record companies who tie you into all sorts of contracts. I know it can be done"
