North Somerset Council played its part in the Olympic legacy on Saturday, August 18, by hosting the South West Regional StreetGames Festival on the beach and Beach Lawns in Weston.

More than 200 young people took part on the day and enjoyed activities including football, basketball, volleyball, martial arts, free running, street dance, Zumba, golf and American football.
Bethany, aged 12, who took part, said: "We got to try new sports and meet new people.
"The event was really well set up."
All those who participated in the free event were given a StreetGames T-shirt and a medal for taking part in at least five different sports.
There was also free fruit and water provided for everyone by ASDA.
The festival was organised in conjunction with the StreetGames partnership with Coca-Cola Great Britain and North Somerset Council's Sports and Active Lifestyle and Events teams.For more photos click HERE.
