At the eleventh hour the annual competition was held a day earlier as bad weather was forecast for Monday.
Event organiser Phil Williams said: "Many people worked very hard to ensure this change was publicised and set up, and that hard work was rewarded with a beautiful sunny day for all the skate park-based competitions and the other attractions around the Scotch Horn Park in Nailsea."
Organisers Holy Trinity and Trendlewood church, in partnership with Christian Surfers UK have organised this event for the past 10 years as a way of showcasing some of the talents of the youngsters that practice for hours at a time at the Millennium Park skate park.
It is always a great community event and this year was no different, add Phil.
In addition to the competitions in skateboarding, rollerblading, BMX riding and scooter riding there were also a host of other activities including for the first time the opportunity to play outdoor table tennis, courtesy of Nailsea Table Tennis Club and to watch dance group Simply Street while listening to DJ Nick Martin.
People from the Rock Band Project held an introductory session for seven to 18-year-olds and the opportunity to strum guitar, bass guitar and drums for free and Olympic torch bearer Corinne Day, who works at GE Oil & Gas, presented the prizes.
