It amazes me how many people have NO IDEA on HOW to drive in the Snow, I suppose we are not used to it in this country anymore. When you watch the news and see people Reving their engines and Spinning their wheels, and getting absolutly nowhere, I think this should be included in the Driving test these days. So here is MY tip for driving in the snow: 1. Put somthing heavy in the boot 2. DO NOT use 1st gear, even to pull away, use 2nd gear with slightly more rev's, if you still prefer 1st gear, then keep the rev's VERY LOW, almost stalling the car, then you will find you move forward much easier than applying to much gas. 3. ALWAYS take some extra warm clothing in the car and a HOT drink in a flask and something to eat, such as a Chocolate bar or two, just in case you get stuck or held up. 4. Do not break suddenly, try to read the road ahead and anticipate what action may be required long before you need to act. Any sudden moves like breaking or steering may cause you to loose control of the car Hope that Helps smeone, Regards Electrical SOS
