Good to see that North Somerset Council has formed a Group to oversee the future of the Tropicana Site on the Sea Front. They say they are going to arrange for the Clean up of the site as soon as possible. It is to be hoped that they will be insisting that the occupiers of the site during the Sea Front Enhancement Works namely Birse Coastal and EJ McGrath are held responsible for the Clearance of the whole site and also to ensure that it is restored to the same condition as it was in prior to their occupation. It is not acceptible to expect the Weston Tax Payers to pick up the bill for this work, We all need to know what rent was paid for the use of the site and to whom! Obviously there has been alot of damage done to the interior of the site by the amount of Rubble and Materials Stored there not to mention the amount of Heavey Plant which has been used on the site, no doubt much of the interior paving and leisure areas will have suffered major damage.
