Puxton Park, Hewish near Weston-super-Mare BS24 6AH
The Multiple Sclerosis Society is holding a family fun day for people across the region affected by MS and their families.
'Fun at the Farm Day' takes place at Puxton Park near Weston-super-Mare on Saturday 28 September and is open to families in North Somerset and the surrounding districts of Bristol, B&NES, Gloucestershire, Mendip and Taunton.
The informal day starts with a welcome and the chance for the whole family – spouses, partners, carers, children - to mix and chat with other families. There will be creative activities to occupy younger family members and give the adults a chance to relax and talk, plenty of refreshments and a nice lunch, before a relaxing afternoon exploring the park, the animals and the farm shop.
MS is the most common disabling neurological condition affecting young adults and an estimated 100,000 people in the UK have MS. There are at present approximately 340 people in North Somerset diagnosed with MS, with a further 700 people in Bristol, and 860+ in Somerset.
The day is subsidised by MS Society North Somerset branch, with bookings costing just £5 per family, including park entry, lunch, refreshments and children's activities.
