The musical story of world renowned Bay City Rollers comes to The Playhouse Theatre in Weston-super-Mare.

In 1974 the world was to witness a new musical phenomenon which had not been seen the days of Elvis and The Beatles.

The Bay City Rollers, with lead vocalist Les McKeown, shot to superstardom in November 1973 and their songs became the soundtrack for a generation of teenagers growing up in the mid 1970's.

"Remember", the Rollers' first single shot up the UK charts to number six and was quickly followed by "Shang-A-Lang", "Summerlove Sensation" and "All Of Me Loves All Of You" all hitting the top five.

"Bye Bye Baby", their first UK number one in May 1975 propelled the band to world-wide superstardom and their trademark Scottish tartan was to be seen everywhere across the planet.

The band toured all over the world and played to sell-out crowds in the USA, Japan, Great Britain, Europe, New Zealand and Australia.

Now fans can step back in time with Les McKeowns The Bay City Rollers Story, a celebration of those hectic days of superstardom, touring, TV Shows and the behind the scenes pandemonium that followed the band everywhere they went.

Les performs all the hit songs and recounts stories and anecdotes from the era when The Bay City Rollers were at the height of their fame alongside new members Si Mulvey, Alex Toff, Michael Koch and Alex Southgate, who all give the band a new energy and excitement.

Audiences are promised a fantastic night of fun and nostalgia as they take a trip back to those innocent days of growing up to the sounds of The Bay City Rollers.

Expect to sing along to all their top hits including "Money Honey", "I Only Wanna Be With You", and "You Made Me Believe In Magic".

The Bay City Rollers Story will be at the Playhouse, Weston-super-Mare, on Saturday 13 October at 7.30pm. Tickets, priced at £19.50, £17.50 are available on 01934 645 544 or online at http://tinyurl.com/677l7bh
