WESTON Brass is preparing to entertain audiences in Weston-super-Mare this weekend with its Christmas Special.
Weston Brass Christmas Concert comes to The Winter Gardens in Royal Parade, on December 16, at 3pm.
Final preparations are now being made for the band's traditional two-hour Christmas concert which will feature many festive melodies, including The Snowman, Sleigh Ride and White Christmas.
There will also be some favourite Christmas carols during the show and the audience is invited to sing along.
Performing alongside Weston Brass are special guests Hutton Primary School Choir and vocalist Lucy Taylor.
Band secretary Gill Rogers said: "Once again Weston Brass are delighted to present our annual Christmas Celebration Concert at the Winter Gardens.
"It also gives us great pleasure to be sharing the stage this year with the very talented Miss Lucy Taylor and the children of Hutton School Choir.
"We are looking forward to starting off the festive season with a great afternoon of some customary and a little more recent music."
Weston Brass founded in 1963 is a traditional amateur brass band consisting of around 25 players from all walks of life including accountants, computer experts, secretaries and a prison officer.
Aside from entertaining the masses by performing concerts throughout the region, the band also undertakes the contesting side of brass banding and is currently graded in the second section of the British Brass Band Championships.
Tickets for the Christmas Concert are priced £6.50 adults, £5.50 for children and are available from the Box Office on (01934) 645544 or visit http://tinyurl.com/c87oavz
