Weston Choral Society - Current Programme

We have since January this year 2011 been putting together a programme of Choral music for performance at a public concert in May 2011.

We are a mixed choir with a growing membership of Soprano, Alto, Tenor and Bass singers. Membership is open to all from 18 to 90 without audition but who would like to learn how to sing in a choir.

There is a membership fee which can be paid in two instalments. This covers the hire of a rehearsal hall and piano from 7.30pm to 9.30pm in Milton Methodist Church Hall and for a professional conductor,  rehearsal pianist and concert soloists. 

The programme we are now rehearsing includes The Messa di Gloria : Puccini, Beatus Vir : Montverdi, Humming Chorus from Madam Butterfly : Puccini, Chorus of Hebrew Slaves from Nabucco : Verdi, The Easter Hymn from Cavalleria Rusticana : Mascagni.
