A FUNDRAISING night held to help a Weston-super-Mare woman fighting incurable cancer raised £3,250.
Mandy Jones has stage four melanoma and a fundraising event was held at the Old Manor Pub in Worle earlier this month.
All money raised from the night will go towards treatment that might help Mandy to fight her illness.
Any money not used will be donated to a charity of Mandy's choice
Mandy and Brian Jones and their families we would like to thank everyone for their attendance, support and generosity.
The evening made £3,250 and there are some people she would like to give a special mention to.
They are: The Old Manor - for use the venue and for donating so kindly
Jennie and Jim Darch for organising the event and for all their hard work
City Plumbing Supplies for their generous donation
St Georges Garage, RJ Motorcycles, Taximate, Bristol City Football Club, westonsupermarepeople.co.uk, SWEAT FA gym, Combicare, Ability Computer Services, Black Rock Outdoor Activities, Court Farm, Jump - Bristol, Bottelinos, The Windsor and everyone else who donated an auction prize or raffle prize.
The fire crew from Bristol Airport for their auction lot of a promise to spend the day with four lucky ladies and Paul Evans from Combicare for raising £700 to have his head shaved.
Further thanks go to the various people who very kindly offered up their time and skills to raise money by offering nail art, palm reading, tea leaf reading, car washing, poster selling and much more.
Thanks also go to each and every person who attended to support the cause.
Mandy urges everyone to check themselves out - if caught early Melanoma can be treated and cured.
Be vigilant and follow the advice given about sun cream, hats, covering up in the sun and if a mole changes or if you are in any way worried then get it checked out.
