Two bikers are preparing to embark on a fundraising motorcycle ride from Weston-super-Mare to Delhi, India.
Richard Evans, 54, from Weston-super-Mare and Simon Chegwyn, 37, from Bath, are setting off from the seaside town tomorrow.
The pair will be riding their motorbikes nearly 8,000 miles through Europe, Turkey, Iran and Pakistan.
Together they hope to make it to Delhi in eight to 10 weeks, braving extremes of heat, cold and some of the world's worst road conditions along the way.
They have set a fundraising target of £16,000 and are paying their own costs for the trip.
Funds raised will go to Asha, a charity working to improve the quality of life for people in the slums of Delhi, and Weston Hospicecare, a charity that provides care and support for people with life-threatening illnesses. The pair will set off from Mr Evan's office at 91 High Street, Worle at 2pm and they are hoping people will attend to wish them good luck on their travels.
Mr Evans said: "We both love motorcycles and travelling.
"I first visited India in 2000 and fell in love with the country and its people.
"I'm raising money in memory of my mother ,who died 10 years ago and my long-time personal assistant and secretary, who died 12 months ago.
"We've almost got everything ready. It's terribly exciting but also quite terrifying."
