It took almost 7000 man days, 30 Miles of Scaffolding tube, 12000 Boards, 1000 HAKI beams, and over 40000 fittings to support the pier Sub structure after the devastating fire at WESTERN SUPERMARE PIER. And that was just the beginning.

SHS SCAFFOLDING CARDIFF LTD Has proved to its customers that no job is to big or to small for this thriving Company in year one of the enabling works at the Pier.

 

The Grand Pier One year onwards and upwards…

 

The newly appointed main contractor of the pier was awarded in autumn of 2009.

JOHN SISK & SON (BUILDERS) LTD They commented that they were so impressed with SHS Scaffolding Cardiff Ltd work on phase one that was carried out for APS Management, that they had no hesitation to invite SHS to tender for the second phase of the Scaffolding package.

 

After beating off our competitors… We are Proud and privileged to be awarded the contract for the Scaffolding package for phase two, and final phase of the project.

We are so ‘’delighted’’ all the sleepless nights waiting in anticipation for the decision are over, or at least for now…say’s’’ Tom Gent our Managing Director.

 

Peter Walker our Highly qualified Projects Manager for SHS has over 20 years experience alone in the industry, has the demanding job of carefully planning and managing this Magnifisant Structure, he and his dynamic team of highly trained and skilled scaffolders are directly employed by SHS and locally from the area carryout the demanding, challenging work in the most dangerous situations.

 

Peter who works closely with the John Sisk on site Management team say’s, ‘’This is just specimen of what SHS scaffolding Cardiff Ltd capabilities are’’ we don’t say no, and we don’t say cant, we find solutions, and with the appointment of our in-house scaffolding designer anything is possible’’. This is one of our most prestigious sites in the UK and at SHS Scaffolding Ltd and we are all so very proud of it.

We are 5 months into the second phase of the project and on target and budget to meet with the programme deadlines, timescales are very tight say’s Peter but what ever it takes we have the man power and capability to cope with any demand.

 

SHS Scaffolding Cardiff Ltd is currently providing Scaffolding solutions at the pier in to cope with demanding and dangerous situations to accommodate every task that our customer requires, from Ramps to fit roofing structures to cylindrical scaffolding to the rotunders.

 

Our highest accolade from John SISK & Son (BUILDERS) Ltd was to be presented with the site Health and Safety Award in November 2009 and January 2010.
