Nightmare about those poor guys caught up in the tide. It happens all too often here. Won't we ever learn?

I hope this doesn't sound too cruel... but the first thing that popped into my mind was "Survival of the Fittest".

According to the paper, the chap was drunk.  Lucky he was spotted, or that would have been another gone this week!

That's what I couldn't believe.  WHen I heard about it first I thought it would be a couple of teenagers that don't know the tides round here.  Saw one of their girlfriends on the local news - must have been awful for them to witness that.  RIP

Weird thing is that the coastguard was saying they could have been carried for miles by the tide and stayed alive all night. I'm no expert but I reckon I wouldn't be able to survive very long. Thoughts to the poor families. What a nightmare
