Noddy, the most famous creation of children's author, Enid Blyton is heading to Weston this month.
Little Noddy Goes to Toyland, was published in 1949 and was an immediate success with 23 more books following.
The books have since sold 200million copies in 40 languages, making Blyton the sixth most translated author in the world, just behind William Shakespeare.
The television show based on the character was the longest running show in British television since 1955 and to celebrate his 60th birthday, Noddy is celebrating with a new TV series on Channel 5.
He s also staging a 60th anniversary live theatre tour, which started in 2009 and is visiting theatres across the country through to 2010.
Noddy will come to Weston’s Playhouse Theatre on March 25, from 1pm-3.30pm.
The show features all the favourite Toy Town characters in 90 minutes of Noddy fun, and is an enchanting introduction to live theatre for three-seven year olds.
It is about an exciting day in Toy Town, it’s Noddy and Tessie Bear’s sing-a-long, dance-a-long party and everyone is invited to join in the fun, everyone that is except those two naughty Goblins, Sly and Gobbo.
They are out to spoil the fun with another of their crazy machines from Goblin Gizmo’s The Sound Sucker.
But hero Noddy is keeping an eye on those two and knows exactly how to stay one step ahead of their games, despite their crazy antics to try to ruin the party.
With Mr Plod, Whiz the Robot, Bumpy Dog, Car and of course Big Ears, the day promises to be one big fun filled adventure.
