Parents from across the South West are frantically booking day trips around the UK in a bid to ensure their children are entertained throughout the summer holidays says West Country coach operator.
Bakers Dolphin is reporting record sales from its days out brochure as the school holidays approach with the prolonged spell of sunshine prompting the sales.
Amanda Harrington, sales and marketing manager at Weston-super-Mare based Bakers Dolphin said: “Over the last couple of weeks we’ve seen a noticeable increase in booking for various days out including Alton Towers, Longleat Safari Park and Madame Tussauds compared to this time last year.
“The weather has been great recently and we believe this has led to the recent surge in bookings. Parents want to make sure that their children are out and about while the weather is nice because you never know when it’s going to end!”
Bakers Dolphin has a full programme of UK and continental holiday tours, a huge programme of days out suitable for all the families throughout the summer break with pick ups across the region.
