West Country theatre lovers are flocking to secure their tickets for this year’s most anticipated West End shows according to a regional coach tour operator.

Love Never Dies is Andrew Lloyd Weber’s latest creation and is the long awaited sequel to one of the most famous shows of all time, Phantom of the Opera.

Bakers Dolphin, the South West’s leading coach tour operator have secured 300 tickets for the show and are already being flooded with requests for the tickets and transport by coach from the region.

The show, at Adelphi Theatre, London, follows the lives of The Phantom and Christine 10 years after The Phantom mysteriously disappeared from the Paris Opera House.

Amanda Harrington, sales and marketing director for Bakers Dolphin said: “As soon as we heard about Love Never Dies we knew that we had to get tickets for it.

“It will be amazing to see how Andrew Lloyd Weber has developed the characters from The Phantom of the Opera and to find out what happens to them next.”

Another show that has everyone is talking about is the Dancing on Ice Live Tour, which begins after the ITV show finishes.

Amanda said: “On a Sunday night, everyone is gripped to the show watching to see if someone is going to fall, or if your favourite is going home, that is why the live tour is always so popular.

“We’ve already sold over half our tickets and I don’t think the others are going to take very long to be sold. Although the show is being performed all over the country we’ll be taking everyone to the NEC Birmingham as this is the closest location.”

Legally Blonde The Musical is also attracting West Country fans as they rush to see the musical adaptation of the famous chick flick film.

With stars such as Sheridan Smith, who’s starred in countless British sitcoms including The Royal Family and most recently playing Smithy’s sister in the BBC favourite Gavin and Stacey and Duncan James, who was one member of the successful boy band Blue, this musical is proving to be an increasingly popular choice for people from the West Country.
