Top award for Weston-Super-Mare coach operators

 

Top theme park attraction Alton Towers has given one of its highest accolades to West Country coach operators Bakers Dolphin.

 

Bakers Dolphin, based in Weston-super-mare, has won the business turnaround award in the Leading Light Coach Operator Awards from Alton Towers, the UK’s largest theme park and family fun resort.

 

Since the 19th century Bakers Dolphin has been taking people on exciting days out and the thrilling rides of Alton Towers are now one of its most popular destinations.

 

Bakers Dolphin marketing director Amanda Harrington said: “Alton Towers is one of the favourite destinations from the South West and we are always pleased to take people there. It brings the whole family together and people love going there.

 

“This is a great achievement for us and shows that our efforts to continue to grow and make Bakers Dolphin better are paying off”

 

Bakers Dolphin has a fleet of 60 coaches, one of the largest in the UK, and operates a full programme of UK and continental holiday tours as well as days out to trips and events. 

 

The award was presented at a special Venetian Masquerade Ball at the Alton Towers Hotel at the beginning of December.
