Four-car crash on motorway

WESTON: Holidaymakers returning from the South West were held up after a four-car crash on the M5.

Queues quickly formed after the collision on the northbound carriageway between Junction 22 for Burnham-on-Sea and Junction 21 for Weston-super-Mare yesterday.

Avon and Somerset Police confirmed there were no injuries.

Two lanes were initially closed at around 4pm yesterday until the cars involved were moved onto the hard shoulder.
