Why I like Weston-super-Mare
It is a town that has character and its roots in the Victorian era are visible in the architecture of the town through the many churches, its splendid library, town hall and now its rebuilt grand pier and refurbished promenade. The climate is generally mild throughout the year and it a healthy place to be. My interests in family history and choral singing are also well catered for through the local family history society and choral society.
Why I don't like Weston-super-Mare
Sadly, there is one big let down. The long term failure to rebuild and renovate the sea-front swimming pool and sun longer. When we first came here in 1971 it was a favourite place in the summer to spend the day at the Tropicana. Alas it has now stood derelict for a decade. those concerned who have done so much to improve the sea front just do not have the will to carry out the wishes of the public!
