Homophobic!

Recently, my partner and I headed for the Tavern Inn the Town for a quiet drink and a game of pool. After a couple of hours, we were suddenly approached by the landlord (who appeared to be drunk), and were told - "we don't do lesbians!" We had been affectionate towards each other, holding hands etc, behaving appropriately for a public place, as any couple of ANY sexual orientation should. Clearly this landlord behaved in a bigoted manner and this is simply unacceptable. Whilst this was going on, the doorman and another staff member approached us, who then led the landlord away and apologised for their boss's disgusting behaviour. However, a few minutes later we were told by the doorman - "you're not barred, but we won't be serving you any further this evening". We had done nothing to warrant this treatment except show affection towards each other - this is 2013 not the dark ages! We learnt that the landlord had left the pub, and that the decision to stop serving us was that of the doorman, of all people! I find it absolutely disgusting that some of the people working in this establishment clearly feel they have the right to behave in a homophobic manner towards some of their customers, just because our lifestyle happens to differ from theirs. They'd do well to remember that their customers are the people who pay their wages. Its laughable that the pub's Facebook promotional tag reads :- "everyone is welcome" as this is obviously just a cheap, empty and meaningless statement! This landlord clearly doesn't deserve our custom. so not only will we spend our money elsewhere, but we will also discourage others (of ANY sexual orientation) from spending their money in this pub as well. There obviously needs to be a change of licensee, or attitude!
