Outstanding Service
I came to this shop on a recommendation of a friend and I am so glad I went. The staff are so pleasant and friendly, which made me feel at complete ease to ask anything and everything. The knowledge all the staff have is second to none, all drawing on their own personal experiences.
I have never been to a shop where the customer service is so brilliant. I had an issue with my boots being too narrow and they went and got them stretched out for me, I couldn't fit everything in my bag (I'm a terrible packer), so they gladly offered to pack my bag again for me and got everything in plus my small bag becoming empty! If I need anything else in the future I will definitely be coming back here as their kindness and knowledge is unbeatable.By kateskidmore at 11:15 on 05/10/12

Everything for your needs
As a mountain leader I have spent a lot of time in gear shops all over the country. To have Outdoors and Active on my doorstep in Weston is a real bonus. They stock a huge variety of outdoor equipment for all levels of experience. I can find anything I want to equip an entire party of adventurers from head to toe.
Paul and his staff are really knowledgeable and can offer loads of practical help and advice when making purchases. Its very reassuring to know that they have experience with and have tested most of their stock.
I often have specialist requests for items which if not in stock immediately Paul can special order in for me very quickly and at amazingly good prices.
I wholeheartedly recommend this shop to anyone interested in the outdoors 5 stars PLUSBy Chrissaund at 08:09 on 03/03/12

What a gold mine!
If you need anything for going outside for any reason, see these guys first. The customer service is beyond fantastic, the product knowledge is excellent and to be welcomed with such a warm smile from two lovely people makes shopping there a real pleasure. I recently purchased a tent from these guys that is suitable for a long distance motorcycle tour and some extra bits to go with it. No request was too much trouble for them, despite my being a very picky outdoor leader. I have tried very hard to think of some criticism and I just cannot find anything to say. So to the lovely people of Outdoor and Active, thank you for your advice (which was excellent), thank you for your time (which was given freely) and thank you for an excellent product that beat the competition hands down. Five stars is not enough.

Brilliant Shop!
Outdoors and active well what can I say. Great service by Julie and Paul Batts. They are always willing to help, give great suggestions to keep purchases within your price bracket but yet get the quality you deserve. Slightly off the main drag but once found its a life saver. I have bought lots of little things which have lasted well.. best purchase a pair of pink gilert walking boots... great for walking the dog but also when we had the horrid snow I had to dig my mum out and they were great! Waterproof hard wearing and still pink! love them and would recommend this shop and their service to everyone!
