A CHARITY which supports disabled children across North Somerset is holding a special ball to celebrate its 25th anniversary.
Springboard Opportunity Group, which supports disabled children under five was founded by a small group of mums in 1986.
Since then it has grown and it now provides specialist play sessions for youngsters at purpose built facilities in Clevedon and Weston-super-Mare.
The charity will be holding a special ball to mark its anniversary at Cadbury House, Congresbury on October 13 and tickets are now on sale.
Springboard spokeswoman, Ann Ramsey, said: "We are very proud to reach this milestone and the ball marks the end of a year of celebrations and fundraising.
"Springboard is a real local success story and we'd like as many local people as possible to help us celebrate
"We'd particularly like to see some of our ex children, who are all grown up now and their families."
The evening will include a sparkling wine reception followed by a three course meal and after dinner entertainment by local musicians Barry Walsh and Louise Brent.
The evening is being sponsored by Body Management of Clevedon and tickets are £35 each which can be bought from Springboard at www.springboardweb.org.uk or by calling 01275 341113.
